All of our art is printed on ChromaLuxe aluminum. ChromaLuxe primarily uses aluminum sheets as the substrate for its panels. These aluminum panels are treated with a special coating to receive dye sublimation inks, which creates the high-definition, durable surface.
Currently, our art is printed with a matte surface. We chose this type because it works very well when viewing pixel art from multiple angles.
ChromaLuxe uses dye-sublimation printing technology. This involves transferring images into the coating of the panel using heat and pressure, ensuring that the image becomes part of the surface and is not just printed on top.
Tuxedo Mount & Hanging Options
Included with your metal print is two ways to hang it; a metal hanging wire and optional aluminum cleat with pre-drilled holes, drywall anchor screws, and a level.
Also included with each print is a special Tuxedo Mount which adds a 1/4" thick black polystyrene backing for added heft as well as blackens the edges and backside.
Backstamp & Longevity
On the backside of your metal print, there will be a unique backstamp with your randomized edition number, company logo, title of the art and signature(printed) from the artist.
Furthermore, the panels are tested for longevity, scratch resistance, moisture resistance and all around excellent durability. That also doesn't mean throw them in a meat grinder and expect them to come out alright. Care for your art and it'll retain it's luster for many years to come.
Packing & Parcel
Your metal print will arrive in a thin box with thick walls that is designed to "float" within to protect it during transit. You can simply cut around it to release the bag from the cardboard backing, however we find it better to simply cut the tape around the folded edges to loosen the open end of the bag. That way, you'll be able to reuse the box and bag for storage or future transit.
